Important!
Please read carefully! In order for a fragrance oil to be safe for use in gel,
it must be non-polar, and over 170 flash point. Non-polar means that the
fragrance is miscible (will Blend well) in mineral oil. There is a way to test
for this, and I strongly recommend testing any fragrance you plan to use before
using it in gel. We do not test Polarity, due to many types of gel wax. We
recommend you do polarity before producing candles. Please let us know when
ordering fragrances for gel wax, as we do test our flash points.

This soy wax contains a soy based additive that enables it
to be poured at a hotter temperature. 464 helps reduce frosting, gives
improved glass adhesion and will help increase Fragrance Oil load. The 464 is
compared to the Cargill C-3 It blends with paraffin, slack wax, and
microcrystalline waxes but blending with beeswax is not recommended.
Pour Temp: 125-145
Melt point- 115-120
FO load: 7%-12% Take wax to 180 then add your fragrance (this insures that wax & fragrance bind together). Drop temperature to desired pouring temperature. Adding 3% Coconut oil (1/2 oz. to 1 lb. wax) to help make a better scent throw. |
